My aim is to help you recover more quickly and return to your usual sporting routine. Treatment is suitable for all levels, from amateur right through to professional.

Why choose sports osteopathy?

  1. 1. Effectiveness: Sports osteopathy aims to treat the cause of an injury, rather than simply relieve symptoms. This makes further injuries much easier to prevent. Just a few sessions can improve the body's mobility and flexibility.
  2. 2. A holistic approach: Sports osteopathy considers the body in all its complexity as a whole, focusing on more than just the affected area. This supports a rapid, effective and holistic recovery.

Sports osteopathy explained

Sports osteopathy is a specialised form of osteopathy that focuses on treating and preventing sports injuries. It involves a comprehensive assessment of the body to identify the source of pain, followed by specific techniques to help restore the body's mobility and function. Treatment methods are tailored to each patient's individual needs and may include manual techniques, gentle manipulation and exercises.
My aim is to help improve your physical performance and relieve pain, so you can achieve your sporting goals again. I look forward to welcoming you to my Munich practice and working with you towards a return to the activities you enjoy.

Fees and insurance

My qualifications meet the requirements for contributions towards sports osteopathy from German statutory health insurers. Do you have German statutory health insurance? Here you will find a list of health insurers that contribute towards some of the cost of osteopathic treatment at my practice. Check the conditions with your insurer before booking.
I charge for osteopathic services in accordance with the fee schedule for Heilpraktiker (German licensed non-medical practitioners), known as GebüH. A sports osteopathy session costs 150 euros. If you have German private, supplementary or international health insurance, check your individual policy before booking. Ask whether it covers osteopathy provided by a Heilpraktiker in Germany, whether a referral or prior authorisation is required, and which invoices or other documents you need to submit. You are welcome to contact me with questions about the treatment fee.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a sports osteopathy session last?

The length of a sports osteopathy treatment depends on the individual problem and symptoms. A session usually lasts between 30 minutes and one hour. However, several sessions may be needed to achieve the desired results. As an experienced sports osteopath in Munich, I always aim to make treatment as effective as possible to relieve symptoms as quickly as possible. A typical treatment lasts 50 minutes.

Who is sports osteopathy suitable for?

Sports osteopathy is suitable for anyone who is physically active and has musculoskeletal symptoms. Whether you are a recreational athlete, professional athlete or extreme sports enthusiast, sports osteopathy can help relieve pain, improve mobility and prevent injuries. People with sedentary jobs or hobbies that may lead to poor posture can also benefit from sports osteopathy.

Is sports osteopathy painful?

Sports osteopathy is generally not painful. On the contrary, many patients find the treatment pleasant and relaxing. As an experienced osteopath, I use gentle techniques to ensure comfortable, painless treatment.
